Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Abduqodir Husanov’s anticipated move to Manchester City, confirming that the transfer is on track.
Romano stated that there are no obstacles in completing Khusanov’s €40 mn transfer from Lens to Manchester City. All necessary documents have been finalized, and the only remaining step is the issuance of the player’s visa. Once obtained, the contract will be signed and officially completed.
“Khusanov and Vitor Roque will both play for Manchester City,” Romano announced on his X account (formerly Twitter).
The 22-year-old Uzbekistani player has reportedly agreed to a contract with Manchester City until 2029. Lens had signed Khusanov in July 2023 from Energetik-BGU for just €100,000. Since then, he has made 31 appearances for the French club, contributing one assist. His initial contract with Lens was set to expire in June 2027.
According to Transfermarkt, Khusanov’s market value is currently estimated at €12 mn, highlighting the significant step up in his career.
