The tenth FIFA Futsal World Cup will be held from 14 September to 6 October 2024 in Uzbekistan marking the first FIFA tournament to be hosted in Central Asia. Matches will take place in Tashkent, Andijan in the Fergana Valley and the historic silk road city of Bukhara. Uzbekistan joins Hong Kong (1992), Chinese Taipei (2004) and Thailand (2012) as the fourth AFC member to host the FIFA Futsal World Cup. Uzbekistan’s men's national team debuted in the tournament in 2016 and reached the knockout stage in 2021 narrowly losing 9-8 to Iran.
The FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024 brand and emblem were unveiled marking a significant milestone for Uzbekistan. The visual identity is inspired by kalampir peppers that are a staple in Uzbek cuisine and reflects the fast-paced nature of futsal with the theme "Masters of Speed". The emblem is shaped like the FIFA Futsal World Cup trophy and incorporates five interpretations of kalampir peppers forming a ball at the top.
The official branding will be revealed publicly on 26 May in Samarkand’s historic Registan Square during the group-stage draw for the 24 participating teams. This will be the first draw following the introduction of the FIFA Futsal World Ranking for both men's and women's senior national futsal teams in early May 2024. Teams heading to the draw include record five-time winners Brazil and defending champions Portugal, Spain, IR Iran, and Argentina.
For the first time four Central Asian countries will compete with Uzbekistan being joined by the newly crowned Asian champions IR Iran. Tajikistan will be making their senior FIFA tournament debut along with Afghanistan appearing in their first FIFA event since the 1948 Olympic Football Tournaments. Kazakhstan will also participate in their third consecutive and fourth overall tournament.
The 24-team roster for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024 includes Afghanistan, Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, France, Guatemala, IR Iran, Kazakhstan, Libya, Morocco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain, Tajikistan, Thailand, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
