The final round of group matches in the football competition at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics concluded with Uzbekistan’s national team drawing 1-1 against the Dominican Republic, on July 30. The match, held at the Olympic stadium in Paris, marked the end of Uzbekistan's campaign in Group C.
The first half of the game ended goalless, with both teams unable to find the back of the net despite their efforts. The Dominican Republic broke the deadlock early in the second half. Rafael Nunez scored the opening goal in the 51st minute, giving his team a 1-0 lead.
Uzbekistan responded with determination, and their persistence paid off in the 58th minute when Alisher Odilov equalized the score. Despite numerous attempts from both sides to secure a winning goal, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the other group match, Egypt secured a victory over Spain with a score of 2-1. The results of the final round left Uzbekistan with a challenging position in Group C.
