Russia plans to launch drone production in Uzbekistan by the end of 2025, according to Yuri Kozarenko, General Director of the Russian company "Transport of the Future," a developer of unmanned aviation systems.

"We have analyzed the market and can confidently say that tens of thousands of drones can be economically introduced, generating significant revenue," Kozarenko said.
He noted that a joint venture is currently being established in Uzbekistan and is expected to begin operations by the end of this year. Initial production volume is projected to exceed $100mn, with up to 50% localization in the first stage.
Kozarenko emphasized that the use of drones requires cooperation with regulatory agencies, including Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) and Uzbekistan’s Civil Aviation Agency (Uzaviatsiya).
"This involves creating the necessary infrastructure to ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of drones. We are working on this together with our partners in Uzbekistan," he added.
The Transport of the Future company is also offering Uzbekistan the opportunity to implement joint projects. In these initiatives, Russia will act not only as a technology provider but also as a recipient and buyer of goods produced in Uzbekistan, Kozarenko noted.
According to him, drones manufactured in Uzbekistan will be primarily used in agriculture.
