Uzbekistan's passport ranks 80th in the global Passport Index ranking, with citizens able to enter only 62 countries without a visa. The ranking, reflected in the Visa Index, shows that Uzbek passport holders still face visa requirements for 167 other countries.

In comparison, neighboring Kazakhstan holds a stronger position, ranked 63rd. Citizens of Kazakhstan can access 82 countries without a visa, offering them more global mobility.
Kyrgyzstan is also ahead of Uzbekistan, securing the 79th spot. Kyrgyz nationals enjoy visa-free travel to 63 countries.
Other Central Asian countries fare similarly in the ranking, with Tajikistan in 84th place, allowing entry to 58 countries without a visa, and Turkmenistan ranking 92nd, offering visa-free access to only 48 countries.
The Passport Index evaluates passports based on the number of countries that allow visa-free entry, as well as those that require a visa on arrival or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). As of now, Singapore holds the top spot for the world's strongest passport, while Afghanistan has the weakest.
Uzbekistan has made some strides recently, with citizens gaining visa-free access to several new destinations in 2024, including the UAE, Thailand, and Oman. Additionally, an agreement allowing visa-free travel to China for up to 30 days has been signed, pending completion of internal procedures by both nations.
For reference, the Passport Index includes a total of 199 countries, providing an overview of global passport strength and travel flexibility.
The countries Uzbekistan can currently visit without a visa include Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Barbados, Belarus, Dominica, Iran, Palestine, the Philippines, Haiti, Gambia, Georgia, Kenya, Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire), Malaysia, Micronesia, Moldova, Namibia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Oman.
