A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and the UAE’s Manara Center for Coexistence and Regional Dialogue, further solidifying cultural and academic ties between the two nations.

The agreement was formalized following a roundtable discussion titled "Dialogue, Solidarity and Perspectives," held at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The event was organized in collaboration with the Manara Center in Abu Dhabi.
Firdavs Abdukholikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, opened the session, emphasizing the importance of mutual dialogue and collaboration between the two countries.

Dr. Ali Rashid al-Nuaimi, Head of the Manara Center, praised the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, particularly the establishment of the Center for Islamic Civilization, which he described as a monumental achievement for the Islamic world.
He also acknowledged President Mirziyoyev’s directive to offer space in the center for international organizations and foreign partners, creating an opportunity for joint research between Uzbek and international scholars. Dr. al-Nuaimi expressed optimism that the cooperation would foster long-term friendship and solidarity between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

Abdukholikov revealed that, in accordance with the newly signed memorandum, a branch of the Manara Center will be established within the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. This initiative is expected to further enhance cultural exchange and scientific collaboration between the two nations.
The official opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is scheduled for September this year. In preparation, a team of scientific staff will be sent to the UAE for advanced training, a process facilitated by the Manara Center’s management.
At the end of the roundtable, the two institutions exchanged souvenirs, symbolizing the strengthening of cultural and academic cooperation. This partnership is expected to contribute to Uzbekistan’s growing international influence, particularly in the fields of cultural heritage and scientific research.
