Uzbekistan has strengthened its foothold in the Middle Eastern market by securing major trade agreements at Gulfood 2025, the world’s largest food and beverage exhibition, held in Dubai.

As a result of negotiations, agreements were reached with leading retailers Lulu and Al Maya Retail to introduce dedicated shelves featuring Made in Uzbekistan products. This initiative aims to boost the visibility of Uzbek goods in the Gulf region and expand export opportunities for local producers.
Additionally, Uzbekistan secured a deal with NOON, the Middle East’s largest e-commerce platform, to feature Uzbek products online. The agreement includes utilizing bonded warehouses, establishing supplies based on STM (own trademark), and organizing exports in both B2B and B2C formats.
More than 40 Uzbek companies from the food and agro-industrial sectors participated in Gulfood 2025, showcasing fresh and dried fruits, nuts, legumes, natural juices, mineral water, and other eco-friendly products. The exhibition facilitated meetings with over 20 prominent retailers, distributors, and sales agents from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf nations.
As part of the event’s business program, a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, led by Inomjon Abdurakhmanov, Head of the Foreign Trade Department, engaged in discussions with major Free Economic Zones (FEZs) in the region, including KEZAD Group, Fujairah, and Dubai Integrated Economic Zones.
The talks focused on establishing a distribution center, developing business incubators, and enhancing storage and sorting facilities to streamline the export of Uzbek goods to the Middle East and Africa.
