President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Yangihayot Industrial Technopark in Tashkent, on November 23, to assess ongoing developments and newly launched enterprises, according to the presidential press service. The technopark, a hub for industrial innovation, has already attracted substantial investment and created employment opportunities.
Key Enterprises and Investments
Eight enterprises have been commissioned within the technopark, representing a total investment of $101 million and generating 520 jobs. President Mirziyoyev reviewed the operations of several companies during his visit.
Almerro Group: Specializing in confectionery products under the Krember brand, this enterprise has invested $22mn, utilizing equipment from Italy, Spain, and Turkey. Spanning 3 hectares, the facility will produce 80 types of confectionery goods annually, valued at 320 billion soums. The company plans to export 15-20% of its output to China and CIS countries.
Vera Modern Electrical: With a $21mn investment, this company manufactures 600 types of cable and wire products. Exporting $4mn worth of goods annually, Vera Modern also meets 35-40% of domestic market demands and achieves a localization level of 70%.
The president emphasized the importance of such enterprises, stating, "The conditions created for entrepreneurs in recent years are yielding results. Our businessmen produce diverse and high-quality products. We will expand these opportunities annually. After all, an entrepreneur is the foundation of the economy, the support of the state."
Support for Small Businesses and Artisans
The technopark also houses a two-story complex built by the Mimar Group, which is rented out in installments to small businesses and artisans. Four companies, with a combined investment of $3mn, have begun operations in these facilities, producing doors and windows, textile products, construction profiles, and solar panels.
Future Development Plans
The Yangihayot Industrial Technopark has ambitious plans to expand its operations with 46 projects worth $386 million. These initiatives will focus on key industries such as building materials, electrical engineering, logistics, services, textiles, and food production.
- By 2025, the technopark aims to launch 37 projects valued at $235 million.
- By 2026, an additional project worth $50 million is scheduled for completion.
- These developments are expected to create 10,000 jobs and generate $35 million in export potential.
The park also plans to introduce dual training programs to equip workers with industry-specific skills.
Over the past ten months, more than 3,000 people have been employed in the Yangihayot district, and an additional 6,000 citizens have registered as self-employed.
