Türkiye set a new record for exports to Kyrgyzstan in November, reaching $88.4mn—a nearly 28% increase from the same period last year. This growth highlights Türkiye's expanding presence in alternative markets, with the rising export figures reflecting the success of strengthened bilateral trade relations.
In the wake of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Kyrgyzstan last month, which led to the signing of 19 agreements, trade ties between the two nations continue to deepen. Last year, the overall trade volume between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan neared $2bn, with Türkiye becoming one of the top five investors in Kyrgyzstan.
The data, compiled by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and Anadolu Agency (AA), shows that industrial products made up the majority of exports, with the jewelry sector taking the lead. Jewelry exports amounted to $37.9mn in November, marking the highest export growth among all sectors.
Other key export categories included ready-to-wear and apparel ($8.5mn), chemicals and chemical products ($8.1mn), automotive ($7.2mn), electrical and electronics ($5.3mn), textiles and raw materials ($4.3mn), machinery and equipment ($2.7mn), carpets ($2.5mn), and HVAC systems ($2.2mn).
The jewelry sector saw a rise of $33.1mn, followed by strong growth in automotive exports ($5.6mn), chemicals and chemical products ($3.6mn), electrical and electronics ($3mn), and HVAC systems ($1.1mn).
In terms of regional contributions, Istanbul led the way, accounting for $65.8mn of the total exports, followed by Bursa with $5.9mn, Ankara and Gaziantep with $3.3mn each, and Izmir with $2.1mn.
