Kyrgyzstan saw an increase in the export of oil products to China, with a total volume of 968.4 tons in January 2024, Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee reports. This represents a rise of 74.4% compared to January 2023, which saw exports amounting to 555.2 tons. The total value of these exports reached $979,126, reflecting a substantial 57% increase from January 2023 figures, which stood at $623,663.
China secured the third position among the top importers of oil products from Kyrgyzstan in 1M24. Türkiye ranked first, importing 10,058 tons valued at $6.1 mn, while Uzbekistan held the second position with 1,204 tons valued at $376,200.
In January 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported a total of 14,677 tons of oil products, marking a 34.5% increase compared to the corresponding month of 2023, which saw exports amounting to 10,914 tons. The total export value surged to $10.3 mn, representing a significant 58.5% increase from January 2023, which stood at $6.5 mn.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover for January 2024 reached $1.2 bn, marking a notable 36.8% increase compared to January 2023. Exports amounted to $181.3 mn, reflecting a robust 46.6% increase y/y. Imports also experienced substantial growth, increasing by 35.1% compared to January 2023, reaching $987.5 mn.
