Azerbaijan entered the top 10 countries with registered and operating companies in Kazakhstan. As of April 1 this year, 1,434 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Kazakhstan, alongside 217 companies with joint ownership, Kazakhstan's Bureau of National Statistics reports.
The Azerbaijani companies operating in Kazakhstan are primarily engaged in wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair (489), construction (185), transport and warehousing (43), manufacturing (51), professional, scientific and technical activities (35), real estate operations (35), administrative and support services (29), healthcare and social services (24), information and communications (10) highlighting the diverse range of industries contributing to this economic relationship.
Azerbaijan's ranking places it sixth among the countries with operating companies in Kazakhstan. The top ten also includes Russia, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Germany, South Korea, and Belarus, indicating the broad international representation in Kazakhstan's business environment.
Furthermore, as of April 1, 2024, the total number of registered companies with foreign ownership in Kazakhstan reached 57,052, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth underscores Kazakhstan's attractiveness as a business destination and the increasing global interest in its market.
