The internationally renowned Iranian company Cinnagen intended to produce cancer medications in Uzbekistan. This was announced by Rasul Beheshtigar, the General Director of the Iranian House of Innovations and Technologies (IHITT) in Tashkent, during an interview with the "Rivers" correspondent.
On June 18th, the opening ceremony of the Iranian House of Innovations and Technologies took place in Tashkent. The event highlighted important aspects of the new center. Rasul Beheshtigar stated that IHITT would focus on facilitating technological exchange between Iran and Uzbekistan, as well as fostering collaboration and partnership.
"By establishing this center, our aim is to implement new technologies produced in Uzbekistan in both Iran and Uzbekistan itself. At the same time, we plan to develop cooperation with scientific and innovation centers and introduce students from universities and institutes to new technologies. Initially, we will work in the fields of energy, medicine, agriculture, and information technology. So far, we have successfully signed agreements with over 30 companies in these areas, and they will visit Uzbekistan in the coming days to participate in their innovative projects. In the next phase, we aim to expand our work into the banking, oil and gas, and mining sectors," he said.
Rasul Beheshtigar also added that it is expected for the Iranian pharmaceutical manufacturer Cinnagen to collaborate with Uzbekistan.
"During the visit to Iran, the Uzbek delegation will visit the Cinnagen holding and familiarize themselves with the company's activities. Currently, the company produces over 300 types of medicines, including 7-8 types used for cancer treatment. It is worth mentioning that only two companies in the world produce cancer medications, and Cinnagen is one of them. That's why it is of great interest to Uzbekistan. Our main goal is not only to import these medications to Uzbekistan but also to produce them within Uzbekistan," said the General Director of IHITT.
