Uzbek Ambassador, Abat Faizullayev, met with Philip Gadi, Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Economy, "Dunyo" reports.
The talks focused on a variety of issues, involving bilateral trade and economic partnership, the organization of a business forum during the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, and the establishment of a business delegation for Austrian business representatives to Uzbekistan.
Philip Gadi complimented the results of the "Austria Connect Central Asia" conference, which was held in Tashkent in June 2022, and highlighted the rising interest of the Austrian business community in working in Uzbekistan. He indicated how Austrian tourist firms are increasingly focusing on partnerships with Uzbekistan.
By the conclusion of the conversations, the parties decided to launch a business mission to Uzbekistan led by prominent Austrian businesspeople in the 4Q23.
