Uzbekistan was named the most successful country in the alleviation of poverty in May by J-PAL Europe, the Global Research Center for Combating Poverty informs on its Twitter.
In May, the European Bureau of J-PAL concentrated on Uzbekistan, and along with specialists coming from the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, they assessed the success of the first governmental initiatives aimed at combating poverty, as well as their possible effect on boosting the citizenry's actual revenue and lowering poverty extents.
J-PAL is a worldwide research institute dedicated to poverty alleviation, with seven branch offices situated in renowned universities around Europe, Africa, South and North America, the Middle East, and South and Southeast Asia. Its basic structure comprises about 400 professionals who collaborate with over 300 academics and instructors from throughout the world. The laboratory has done 1094 research in 91 countries over its history.
