The population of Uzbekistan increased by an average of 57,600 people in each month of 2023. "Every day of 2023, the number of permanent residents is increasing by 1,9000 people on average," - the Statistics Agency reports.
As of April 1, 2023, the permanent population of Uzbekistan reached 36,1mn people.
The number of permanent residents of the country increased by 2.2% compared to the corresponding period of last year. The population has increased by 172,800 people since the beginning of 2023.
Additionally, as of January 1, 2023, the number of men in the permanent population was 232,210 more than the number of women. In this period, the population was 36mn 24,946 people.
