The recent expansion in the number of manufacturing companies and automobiles has resulted in a substantial rise in the number of pollutants discharged into the environment, which is increasing air pollution throughout the country and notably in Tashkent. In fact, by the end of 2022, Tashkent was rated 20th on the international air pollution index.
