Uzbekistan Railways has denied recent reports claiming the company announced a tender for procuring 40 high-speed trains, as it was issued via its official Telegram channel.
According to the company, the circulated information is based on outdated data. The tender referenced in these reports was announced several years ago and is no longer relevant. Uzbekistan Railways confirmed that no active tenders are currently underway.
The reports were initially linked to Fazil Sharipov, head of the "Uzrailpass" department, and were shared on LinkedIn by Mahmudjon Tahirov, a transport research specialist at the Ministry of Transport. However, the LinkedIn post has since been removed.
