German collaboration enhances school resources in Uzbekistan
Comprehensive School No. 1 in the Vabkent district of the Bukhara region has received modern technical equipment and teaching aids as part of a German cooperation project. The collaboration, facilitated by ZfA, a German organization dedicated to supporting schools worldwide in the study of the German language, aims to enhance the learning experience for students and provide continuous professional development opportunities for educators, UzA reported.
Participating in the ZfA cooperation project, the school has been actively engaged in initiatives that contribute to the improvement of German language education. School teachers annually enhance their qualifications through training programs held in Tashkent and Germany. Moreover, the collaboration involves German specialists conducting various workshops and masterclasses at the school, fostering a dynamic and immersive learning environment.
ZfA has taken a step further by implementing a new initiative at Comprehensive School No. 1. The school has received a valuable infusion of modern equipment and visual aids, collectively valued at €1,000.
On September 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan participated in the Economic Forum held in Berlin under the auspices of the Eastern Committee of German Economy. This significant gathering brought together leaders and officials from Central Asian nations, including Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and the national leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
President Mirziyoyev conveyed his contentment with the increasing interest of German businesses in expanding their presence and activities within the Central Asian markets. The discussions held during the forum encompassed a diverse range of topics, including investment, innovation, technological cooperation, and the potential for collaboration in high-tech sectors. Additionally, the forum addressed opportunities for cooperation in "green" energy, raw material processing, logistics, transport, and workforce training.
Earlier Daryo reported that Uzbekistan's Minister of Poverty Alleviation and Employment, Behzod Musayev, recently convened a significant meeting with Professor Frederik Wenz, the Director General of Freiburg University Clinic. The focus of the discussion centered on the increasing need for medical professionals from Uzbekistan in Germany.
