In recent years, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France has quadrupled, with projects worth more than $10bn being implemented alongside leading French companies and organizations, according to the presidential press service.

On August 14, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Aurelia Bouchez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, who is completing her diplomatic mission in the country.
The president praised the Ambassador’s effective work and her personal contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and France.

High-level mutual visits have advanced cooperation, enriching the bilateral agenda with tangible outcomes. Systematic dialogue and active contacts have been maintained at various levels.
Uzbek-French collaboration also extends to education, healthcare, and cultural and humanitarian exchange. Exhibitions at the Louvre Museum and the Arab World Institute were widely acclaimed. A monument to Biruni was unveiled near Paris, and a street in the French capital was named after Samarkand. Later this year, the Uzbek-French University will open in Tashkent.

Additionally, President Mirziyoyev awarded the Order of Friendship to Ambassador Bouchez for her significant role in fostering friendship and strategic cooperation.
The Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude for the recognition and the president’s support in developing broad-ranging collaboration between the two nations.
