The decision of the President of Uzbekistan "On additional measures for the further development and popularization of cyber sports" dated November 16, 2022 defines a number of tasks for the organization and development of cyber sports competitions in the regions.
In order to ensure the fulfillment of these tasks, the "Cybersport Arena" is being established in the center of the city of Jizzakh based on international requirements. Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov visited the city of Jizzakh and got acquainted with the construction processes of this complex.
After the "cybersport arena" is put into use, it will be possible to organize regional, republican and international competitions in cybersports. In addition, an "IT-Academy" is being established on the territory of the building, which is designed to train young people in the field of digital technologies.
Also, the minister met with the governor of Jizzakh region, Ergashi Saliyev, and discussed the ongoing work on the development of the IT sector in Jizzakh region.
