The Ministry of Health has received an additional 108 Volkswagen Caddy ambulances, as confirmed by the press release from "Uzavtosanoat."
Out of the planned 1,000 vehicles, 700 are now serving the urgent medical needs of the country.
This significant project, prioritizing social welfare, is being carried out under the guidance of the President. It is made possible through favorable loans provided by the Asian Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, both of which are dedicated to supporting Uzbekistan's social infrastructure development.
On September 20, 100 Volkswagen Caddy ambulances were distributed to various regions, including the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent, Surkhandarya, and Syrdarya, where they will bolster the services of the Republican Emergency Medical Center.
In line with presidential decrees issued on May 27, 2021, and June 16, 2022, a systematic vehicle-renewal plan is underway to replace aging Damas and other vehicles within the system, with the project set to run from 2022 to 2024.
