The Ministry of Health's press service announced the delivery of 50 units of A-class Volkswagen Caddy ambulances to the Republican Emergency Medical Center, on August 30.
These vehicles are designated to be allocated to the "103" emergency medical services in the Kashkadarya and Khorezm regions. Earlier in January 2023, the Republican Emergency Medical Center had already integrated 220 Volkswagen Caddy ambulances into its fleet. Subsequently, in February, an additional batch of 117 vehicles of the same type was distributed to various regions.
The Ministry's communication highlighted the upcoming plan to deliver a total of 610 of these vehicles to regions across the country by the end of the year.
The A-class Volkswagen Caddy, belonging to the fifth generation, operates on the MQB platform. These ambulances are equipped with a 1.6 MPI naturally aspirated engine, delivering 110 horsepower through a 6-speed manual transmission. The vehicle's fuel efficiency is noted at 7 liters per 100km in the combined cycle.
These ambulances come fully equipped with advanced medical tools and facilities, adhering to international standards. Their interior design prioritizes patient comfort and provides suitable space for medical staff. Beyond their modern amenities, these vehicles excel in urban mobility, demonstrating traits of reliability and cost-effectiveness. Crucially, these ambulances are capable of delivering necessary medical aid to patients without causing traffic disruptions.
