On November 8, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan met with Khusrav Noziri, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), to discuss practical cooperation within the ECO framework.
The talks centered on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, including joint projects related to trade, transport, investments, innovation, ecology, and tourism.
Khusrav Noziri, the Secretary General, expressed gratitude for Uzbekistan's active engagement in ECO activities and its preparation for the upcoming ECO summit in Tashkent, operating under the theme "Cooperation towards economic stability and development."
Both parties acknowledged the steady implementation of initiatives presented by Uzbekistan during the 2021 Ashgabat summit. Discussions also covered the agenda for the forthcoming Tashkent meeting of ECO country leaders.
Uzbekistan's active role in the ECO and its dedication to regional economic cooperation were evident during the meeting. The ECO serves as a platform for regional economic integration and collaboration among its member states, including trade, transportation, and investments.
