The Health officials of Uzbekistan have launched the Global Positioning System (GPS) to locate ambulances.
The fleet of special medical vehicles has been renewed by 60-70 percent replacing old ones which are more than 8 years. In recent years, the number of ambulances has increased from 24 to 500. In 2023, 337 Volkswagen Caddy cars manufactured by Jizzakh Auto were handed over to the Republican Emergency Medical Center. And it is planned to purchase another 1,000 units of modern A-class ambulances with funds provided by the Asian Development Bank.
In 2023, a single call centre will be established in the 103 services. In order to introduce complex information systems in the field, a single intellectual calling platform will be created. At the same time, a GPS satellite monitoring system is being launched for service vehicles.
