Turkmenistan Airlines reports flights on the Ashgabat-Moscow-Ashgabat route have been suspended until 28 October 2023.
The only national carrier cancelled flights on the route in early August for security reasons amid reports of drone attacks on the Russian capital.
The airline said in a press release that the measure was taken "due to the situation in the Moscow air zone, as well as based on a risk assessment to ensure flight safety."
All flights from Moscow to the Turkmen capital were transferred to another route - Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia) - Ashgabat.
Starting from 8 August, passengers who have tickets on the direction Moscow - Ashgabat will have to arrive in Kazan 3 hours before departure at their own expense.
Passengers are also promised a full refund (without deductions), which will be made only in the country where the ticket was purchased.
