In the first half of 2023, Uzbekistan's agricultural enterprises exported 3,500 tons of lemons to seven foreign countries, generating a total revenue of $2.9mn. This marks a significant increase of 968 tons compared to the same period in the previous year.
The top three importers were Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, with Russia purchasing the highest amount of citrus at 2,700 tons.
Earlier, Daryo reported that preliminary data from the country's statistics agency showed Uzbekistan's lemon exports increased by 681 tons in 1Q23 compared to the same period in 2022, with a total of 2,200 tons worth $1.8mn exported to seven foreign countries.
