The Deputy Head of the Communications Service of Tajikistan, Ilkhom Atoyev, has reported a decrease in the cost of cellular communications in Tajikistan.
Mobile services have seen an average reduction of 15%, achieved through the country's mutually beneficial cooperation with the Antimonopoly Service.
According to Atoyev, work is ongoing, and mobile services will continue to see further cost reductions.
In his annual message to the Parliament in December 2022, Tajikistan's President, Emomali Rahmon, criticized the high cost and low quality of mobile and Internet services.
The leader subsequently instructed the Liaison Service to take necessary and concrete measures to address these issues.
