In Tajikistan, there has been a 20% increase in basic pensions and salaries for doctors, scientists, and social workers, media reports.
Additionally, starting from March 1, 2023, military and law enforcement officials will receive a 25% salary increase. This decision was made by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the relevant decree was signed in February of 2023.
As per the announcement on the government website, the basic pension has been raised to SM 250 (nearly $22.98), while the basic salary of healthcare professionals has been increased to SM 440 (almost $40.44).
The insurance pensions are adjusted based on a 16% inflation rate from the past two years.
However, this enhancement doesn't apply to presidential scholarships or military university and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan student scholarships.
