Uzbekistan's Agency for Innovative Development has recently entered into a partnership agreement with Italy's EproInn to introduce cutting-edge technology to Uzbekistan's automobile industry, media reports.
The technology involves retrofitting conventional vehicles with electric motors on the rear wheels, powered by a battery in the luggage compartment and recharged by solar panels.
The vehicle also has a state-of-the-art electronic control system, making it an ideal solution for countries with many conventional cars. This innovation can extend vehicle life while reducing operational and fuel costs, resulting in significant savings for car owners.
Retrofitting an existing vehicle with this technology is a more cost-effective option than purchasing a new electric or hybrid car.
A network of specialized workshops will be established to implement the project fully.
