The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan has informed that the explosion in the hangar of a copper pipe shop in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent left one person dead on the spot and injured 14 others to varying degrees of severity.
Earlier, Daryo reported an explosion on June 14 at 9:50 am on Astrabad Street at a Tashkent's Chilanzar district plant. Following the explosion, the structure of the crumble collapsed, resulting in a fire in an area of 50 square meters where equipment was installed.
The explosion was caused by a gas-air mixture bursting in the one-story hangar of the copper pipe shop. Fire and rescue teams and government officials were promptly dispatched to the scene, including the Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, and the State Security Service.
