Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at a meeting with the head of Daewoo E&C (South Korea) Jung Won-ju that new prospects for investment activities are opening up, local TV channel Altyn Asyr reports.
Turkmenistan is ready to consider project proposals for the production of phosphorus, ammonia and urea, the information says. The area of renewable energy sources and high technology in the oil and gas industry were also named as promising areas.
"The Korean businessman confirmed his interest in building a mutually beneficial partnership with Turkmenistan."
Turkmenistan, rich in gas, has in recent years actively embarked on economic diversification aimed at transitioning to the production of goods with high added value.
As of 2022, more than ten projects have been registered in Turkmenistan with the participation of South Korean companies totaling more than $11 billion.
