Uzbekistan's University of Journalism and Mass Communications issued an official statement regarding the crack in one of the buildings of the Higher Education Institution, circulating on social networks.
The two-centimeter damage is a seam between the old and new building, which occurred during the construction of the university's new facility. In builders' language, it is a seam between two buildings constantly moving under the influence of heat and cold. "In the professional language, this has a 'Temperature noise' meaning.
'This situation has nothing to do with the collapse of the building. Because the foundations of old and new buildings are also different," the statement reads. Reportedly, specialists were involved in properly studying the level of the risk of a crack in the wall of the building.
Earlier, the studies conducted by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy in the construction facilities of the Andijan region found that the builders need to comply with the requirements stipulated in the projects.
