On March 31, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Oybek Khamrayev met with the Director of Hasti Aryan Taamin, Nasser Ansari, to discuss prospects for implementing an investment project for tea production in Uzbekistan with the Iranian company's further supplies to domestic and foreign markets.
The parties agreed to continue joint work in preparing pre-project documentation, laboratory facilities, supplying modern equipment, establishing the manufacture of tea products based on the national brand, and subsequent export to foreign markets.
Following the meeting, the sides outlined practical directions for developing cooperation and developed a format for further lending to implement bilateral agreements actively.
Reportedly, Hasti Aryan Taamin mainly produces tea, rice, sugar, and spices. However, since 2021, the company has started supplying tea to Uzbekistan under the Famila Tea trademark.
Iranian tea is known for its unique flavor and aroma, attributed to several factors. First, the tea leaves used in Iranian tea are of high quality and are grown in the northern regions of Iran, which have a suitable climate for tea cultivation.
Additionally, Iranian tea is often served with sugar cubes and other accompaniments, such as cardamom or saffron, which enhance the flavor and aroma of the tea. Finally, the culture surrounding tea in Iran is also an essential factor. Tea is central to social gatherings and hospitality in Iranian culture, just like in Uzbekistan's culture, leading to a deep appreciation for the beverage and its many nuances.
