A Polish official reminded the citizens of Warsaw of 2022 not to go to Russia and leave its territory against the backdrop of the arrest of The Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich by the Russian security service. The speaker announced the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 3, 2022. It warned Polish citizens about the danger of being in Russia and traveling to the country due to the situation in Ukraine.

"This is especially important in the context of information about the arrest of Evan Gershkovich," - Yasina said.

On March 30, American journalist Gershkovich was arrested in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg on charges of "espionage". The Wall Street Journal denied the accusations against the journalist and asked for his release. The journalist can be sentenced to 20 years in prison.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reacted to this and called on American citizens to leave Russia immediately.
