Europol analyzed 7,000 photos and videos and managed to identify 150 people suspected of Russian war crimes in Ukraine, "Ukrinform" reports citing Catherine de Bolle, Executive Director of Europol.
"We analyzed 7,000 photos, videos, and 550 documents at Europol and managed to identify 150 people suspected of war crimes," said De Bolle.
She noted that Europol attaches great importance to the investigation of Russia's war crimes in Ukraine, gathering information and identifying the accused.
"We are working with data, we are trying to establish a connection between different data coming from various countries and available to us. "This is our main support for the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ukrainian law enforcement officers, as well as the International Criminal Court (ICC)," he said.
The ICC and the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine are set to form joint working groups to investigate specific criminal cases related to war crimes.
