Anthony Blinken says that US hails Uzbek government’s decision to bring back 400 compatriots from Syria and Iraq

    1 March, 22:56 426

According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the private sector is very interested in investing in Uzbekistan, and the top diplomat announced that he would attend the next meeting of the departmental group on trade and investment in Samarkand.

The US foreign minister underscored the work that the US did through the programs serving as a catalyst for the private council. Apparently, the US is investing transparently and allowing the population to shape it. The United States is in favour of supporting the activities a lot of which benefit the people of interdependent Central Asia which creates new markets for our products and services and creates new opportunities.

He also mentioned that Uzbekistan would supply electricity to the people of Afghanistan and provide assistance to women, besides, he applauded Uzbekistan for returning more than 400 people from Syria and Iraq to their homeland.

“Efforts are being made to strengthen the cooperation not only through the visit but also through the embassy. We hail Uzbekistan for providing electricity to the people of Afghanistan, assisting women, and repatriating more than 400 people from Syria and Iraq. The United States will continue to help in this regard," Anthony Blinken said.
