According to the State Statistics Committee, the country's retail trade turnover rose exponentially in 2022 reaching. This is 12.3% more than in January-December 2021.
The components of retail trade turnover accounted for 79.4% of small businesses and private entrepreneurs, 20.6% of large enterprises and 8.1%.
Significant growth was observed in the Tashkent region, Namangan (13.2%), and Surkhandarya (13.6%) regions compared January-December period of 2021.
The highest share in the trade turnover was 25.7% or 81.9 trillion soums in Tashkent.
As of January-December 2022, the average retail trade turnover per capita was 8.9 million soums. This figure increased by 10 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
