The President's decision "On additional measures for the development of domestic air transport in the Republic" envisages launching flights to remote areas, "Nigoh" telegram channel reports.
According to the document:
- in order to connect the regions, starting from March 2023, regular flights between Samarkand-Nukus, Samarkand-Moynaq, Samarkand-Termiz, Bukhara-Termiz, Namangan-Termiz and Namangan-Nukus to be launched;
- air services to Shahrisabz, Sariosio and Zomin airports to be restored;
- steps will be taken to create a unified logistics system by integrating the air flight schedule with the passenger-friendly railway, bus and minibus routes.
The deadline for allocating a subsidy from the republican budget in the amount of 25 per cent of the air ticket price to the resident airlines of Uzbekistan for flights on domestic tourism routes has been extended until January 1, 2026.
