On November 1-3, 2022, the International Pilgrimage Tourism Week will be held in Samarkand, Khiva, Bukhara, and Tashkent, "Dunyo" news agency reports.
The Uzbek government aims at showcasing the pilgrimage tourism potential of the country, promoting Uzbekistan as one of the important centers of world civilization, and high recognition from international organizations that may help to boost an inbound tourism flow.
The Tourism Week held at the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in cooperation with a number of organizations will present exhibitions, seminars, scientific-practical conferences, and cultural-educational events.
The guest will see the opening of the new "Silk Road" tourist center in Samarkand, the International Crafts Exhibition on the theme "Khiva - the capital of Islamic world tourism", and the "Masters of the World" fair.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers “International Pilgrimage Tourism Week” will be held annually in the first week of November.
