The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, met the senior vice president of T'way Air, Kim Hyung Yi to negotiate the terms of direct flights to Tashkent and Samarkand.
The Korean low-cost carrier highly appreciated the ever-growing tourism industry and better tourist infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
The parties also noted the huge tourist potential of ancient Samarkand, including the possibilities of the newly built international airport and the "Great Silk Road" international tourist centre with a complex of modern hotels such as the "open skies" procedure which allows foreign airlines to fly freely accordance with the norms of international law.
An agreement was reached to study the issue of Tway Air flights to the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand, which could serve to further develop relations between the two countries in the socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
