Batyr Tursunov: Education and Academic Background
Batyr Tursunov, aged 50, graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, now known as the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, as well as the I. Muminov Institute of Philosophy and Law at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
•Qualifications: PhD in Philosophy.
•Publications: Author of over 25 academic works.
Batyr Tursunov: Diplomatic Career
Tursunov began his career in Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005, holding various positions, including:
•Roles in the central office of the Foreign Ministry.
•Service at Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Beijing.
•Leadership of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan.
•Deputy Director of the International Institute of Central Asia.
Tursunov is fluent in Russian, English, and Chinese.

In 2023, Tursunov served as Minister-Counselor at Uzbekistan’s Embassy in China while also acting as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the SCO Secretariat.
