President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia, for a working visit. Upon his arrival at Pulkovo International Airport, the president was warmly welcomed by St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov and other officials.
Following the reception, President Mirziyoyev, accompanied by Governor Beglov, took a brief walk around St. Isaac’s Square, enjoying the sights of the historic city.
During his visit, the president will participate in the informal meeting of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, scheduled for December 25-26.
As an observer, President Mirziyoyev will engage with leaders on key issues, aiming to further strengthen cooperation within these multilateral frameworks.
The summit’s agenda will focus on expanding mutually beneficial ties among the member countries, summarizing the outcomes of joint efforts, and exchanging views on priority areas for cooperation in the year ahead.
