Taliban detained six Iranian border guards on allegations of illegal entry into Afghanistan, Daryo's correspondent in Afghanistan reports. The incident reportedly occurred near the Abu Nasir dry port in Farah province.
After crossing into Afghan territory, all six guards were apprehended and subsequently taken to a Taliban-operated camp. The precise reasons behind the crossing and the current conditions of the detained individuals remain unclear.
Both nations have previously exchanged accusations regarding unauthorized border crossings by their respective border guards.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Taliban forces seized the residence of Mohammad Zahir Aghbar, Afghanistan's ambassador to Tajikistan. The incident occurred in Kabul's Korta Chahori neighbourhood where armed members of the Taliban forcefully evacuated the occupants of the residence and took control of the property.
