Two senior officials from the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office have been dismissed following orders issued by the Prosecutor General.

According to the statement, by the relevant orders of the Prosecutor General, Inoyat Shukurov, Senior Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was dismissed from his post as First Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, at his own request. He has also been dismissed from the Department's ranks.
Similarly, Mukhammadjon Ruzmatov, also a Senior Presidential Advisor, was dismissed from his role as Head of the Tashkent City Department of the same agency, based on his personal application. He too has been removed from the Department’s ranks.
The changes come amid a broader reshuffle in key state positions.
New Appointments
Shokhrukh Aminov was appointed Prosecutor of the Republic of Karakalpakstan on August 1, succeeding Erkaboy Tojiyev, who had held the position since July 2022. Aminov has served in several senior prosecutorial roles, including as Prosecutor of Syrdarya Region, Prosecutor of Navoi Region, and Deputy Prosecutor General. Prior to this appointment, he had served as Deputy Prosecutor General since April 2022.
In a separate presidential decree, Polat Bobojonov was appointed Deputy Presidential Advisor on Personnel Policy. As a result, he was relieved of his duties as First Deputy Presidential Advisor on the same policy direction. Bobojonov previously served as Minister of Internal Affairs.
Abdusalom Azizov, who formerly led the State Security Service, has been appointed Deputy Presidential Adviser on Representative Bodies, Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations, Religion, and Youth Issues. He was simultaneously released from his previous role as Deputy Presidential Adviser on Socio-Political, Religious-Enlightenment and Youth Issues.
Additionally, Bakhodir Toshmatov has been appointed Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President. He previously held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Council for the Development of the Armed Forces.
