    President of Kyrgyzstan and JBIC manager foster economic cooperation in Tokyo visit

    In an official visit to Tokyo, President Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic met with Nobumitsu Hayashi, the manager of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), to discuss potential avenues for strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

    The Japanese Bank for International Cooperation is a key player in fostering economic collaboration between Japan and foreign countries by facilitating investment abroad and supporting international trade. As a government-funded financial institution, JBIC plays a vital role in the development of Japan's exports and imports.

    During the meeting, President Japarov expressed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to deepening its partnership with Japan across various sectors, underscoring the importance of engaging reputable financial institutions such as JBIC in this endeavor.

    Highlighting the significance of creating favorable conditions for Japanese businesses, President Japarov conveyed the Kyrgyz government's eagerness to promote direct investments and strengthen economic ties between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and Japan.

    The Kyrgyz head of state conveyed optimism about the active dynamics of bilateral contacts, citing successful examples of cooperation in the banking sector. President Japarov urged for exploring opportunities in the green energy and infrastructure sectors, signaling a commitment to sustainable development practices.

    In response, Nobumitsu Hayashi provided a brief overview of JBIC's activities and expressed the institution's readiness for mutually beneficial collaboration with the Kyrgyz Republic. He emphasized JBIC's commitment to the implementation of specific projects in Kyrgyzstan and conveyed a willingness to send a team for an in-depth study of the country's needs.

    The meeting concluded with a positive outlook for future cooperation, underlining the potential for joint initiatives that would contribute to the economic growth and development of both Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
