Turkmenistan updates customs payments for foreign truckers from 15 November 2023, the Turkmenavtoullaglary (Turkmen Highways) agency reports.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a special decree. The amount of duties and fees levied on owners of foreign trailers and semi-trailers entering Turkmenistan has been set at $150 and $100 for transit through Turkmenistan.

Drivers carrying international road freight can use the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port and the Artyk, Serakhs, Garabogaz, Altyn Asyr, Dashoguz, Kunya-Urgench, Farap, Imamnazar and Serhetabat checkpoints.
Experts told Daryo that a number of motorways of international importance pass through Turkmenistan: Turkmenbashi-Ashgabad-Mary-Turkmenabat-Farab - the state border with Uzbekistan; Ashgabat-Dashoguz; Ashgabat-Gaudan; Turkmenbashi-Bekdash; and Serdar-Gudriolum.
These routes have seen a steady increase in the export of hydrocarbons and finished products from Turkmenistan and back to Europe and Asia.
