A joint 59th meeting of the Council of Heads of Communications Administrations - members of the Regional Communications Community (RCC) was held in Ashgabat.
The CIS Executive Committee reports that the event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of digital development and and measures to combat frod (fraud) in communication networks.
Vladimir Zaitsev, Advisor to the Economic Cooperation Department of the CIS Executive Committee, provided information on the issue of granting the status of basic organisation of the CIS member states providing methodological, organisational and technical support for work in the field of information and communication technologies.
The International Information Centre (IIC) of Turkmenistan reports that delegations from the CIS had visited the new innovative city of Arkadag, recently built on the basis of modern digital technologies.
