Turkmenistan has joined the Agreement on the Establishment of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) as an international organisation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports that the certificate ceremony was held in Vienna, Austria, in the building of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs.
"The sides exchanged views on anti-corruption activities at the international and national levels."
The International Anti-Corruption Academy, established in 2010, has observer status at the UN General Assembly and cooperates with Interpol.
In recent years, Turkmenistan has been developing a legal framework to prevent economic crimes and curb tax offences.
