In a significant diplomatic development, Saida Mirziyoyeva, assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, engaged in a high-level meeting with Donald Lu, who holds the position of Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia. The discussion, which took place on November 7, centered on a range of crucial topics pertaining to the relationship between their two nations.
Mirziyoyeva provided insights into the talks, emphasizing that the dialogue delved into the present status and future prospects of bilateral relations.
"During the dialogue, we discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between our countries in the fields of education, culture, ensuring the rights of women and children. We also exchanged views on the activities of mass media and civil society support in Uzbekistan, as well as mutual cooperation in the field of human rights," she said about the meeting.
This dialogue underscores the commitment of both Uzbekistan and the United States to engage in constructive discussions aimed at fostering cooperation across various sectors.
Earlier today, it was reported that Donald Lu met with Bakhtiyor Saidov, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
