At the Astana summit of the Organization of Turkic States held on October 3, Shavkat Mirziyoyev introduced several suggestions and initiatives aimed at fostering stronger relationships among the organization's member states.
One of his proposals involved the creation of a Turkic world charter, which would symbolize the unity, rich cultural heritage, and ancient values of Turkic peoples, emphasizing the principles of mutual respect, trust, and openness within the organization. The president emphasized the importance of overcoming shared challenges together and urged the involvement of leading experts and scholars to craft this symbolic dictionary.
Mirziyoyev highlighted the impending launch of the Turkish Investment Fund and stressed the need to bolster industrial cooperation and implement large-scale investment projects through the activation of the Turkish Development Bank, which he offered to host in Tashkent.
"We propose to establish a council of railway authorities of our states and place the directorate of this structure in our country," said the president. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the development and diversification of global logistics chains, transit networks, and the creation of multiple routes connecting Turkic nations to markets in China, South Asia, and Europe while supporting digitalization in the transport sector.
Mirziyoyev extended an invitation to the representatives of the Organization of Turkic States to participate in an international conference dedicated to the exploration of the Jadids' significant contributions and their scientific and creative heritage, particularly regarding modern national identity and statehood. He expressed confidence that the summit's important documents and decisions, including the summit declaration and the Astana Act, represent significant strides toward a promising future for the Turkic nations.
